The BRC Standard defines corrective action as action to eliminate the cause of a detected non-conformity deviation. So corrective action could be explained as what you do to fix an issue or problem. This could include deviation from established limits relating to product safety, quality, legality or with compliance to the requirements of the Standard or deviation from a process or production control.
These short guides are designed to help you interpret the Standard, and design robust systems and procedures that meet the requirements. Examples are given to explain the types of documents and procedures and the level of detail typically required.
